Dear Competitors, Owners and Members,

IMPORTANT NATIONAL SHOW COMPETITOR INFORMATION

The Society wishes to advise that all horses entered for the National Show in any event including Campdraft, Dressage and Show events will need to be presented for Identification prior to competing in any class or event.
The Societies Rules and Regulations are quite clear about the Owner’s obligation to ensure that the original Registration papers are presented with the horse and that the horse’s brands are clearly visible. The brands, markings, scars and whorls must match the papers as presented.
Please ensure that your horse is correctly branded and that the brand is visible including the identification brand and the age numbers.
The Society advises that any horse that is not clearly branded may be required to be rebranded before competition. Please ensure that you check your horse’s markings and brands with the papers before you attend the show. Any inconsistencies should be notified to the Registrar forthwith and notice given on any rectification thereof that needs to be undertaken.
Should a horse be found to be inconsistent with the Identification stated on the Registration papers, the Society Inspectors will work with you to resolve any issues. Should the issues not be able to be resolved then the horse may be rejected from competition.
Society Inspectors will be available at the AELEC ground, located at the TAFE Lecture Theatre and Vet Room, to verify your horse and will be available from Thursday Morning from 10.00am; an ongoing schedule is attached to this letter.
Horses nominated in height restricted classes will need to be measured before entering an event. The Society will accept current height certificates from EA, SHCA and any Royal Show. Proof of the Identity of the horse with the height certificate will need to be presented to Society Inspectors. The Measuring Block is located on the western side of the sale ring. Please see attached map.
The Competitor Check In process will be held in conjunction with the Inspections and Measuring. During this process you will be required to submit the attached Horse Health Declaration form. When your Inspection and Measurement (if applicable) is completed you will receive your Competitor pack and wristband. If your horse has been measured you will receive a height card, please carry this with you at all times.
We do ask if you are local to the Tamworth AELEC to please present your Horse for Identification and Measuring the day prior to your competition.
Should you have any queries in relation to the required Inspection please contact our Show Secretary, Melissa Gorton – showsec@ashs.com.au.
On behalf of the Society I would like to wish you all the very best for a successful show.
Kind regards,

Craig Young
